Trauma & Relationship Recovery

When a relationship changes how you see yourself.

Some relationships leave us questioning our judgment, minimizing our needs, or wondering how we got so disconnected from ourselves.

Whether you're recovering from an emotionally harmful relationship or processing other difficult experiences, therapy offers room to explore what happened and how it still affects you.

Recognizing the impact

You may have spent a long time questioning yourself.

You might notice:

  • Difficulty trusting your own perceptions
  • Persistent self-doubt or guilt
  • Anxiety around conflict
  • Trouble setting or holding boundaries
  • Feeling responsible for other people's emotions
  • Confusion about what happened in a past relationship
  • Difficulty feeling emotionally secure

These experiences don't automatically mean someone has a particular diagnosis or that a relationship was abusive. Therapy is a place to explore your experiences carefully and on your own terms.

Recovery is personal

Reconnecting with your voice.

Recovery doesn't follow a perfect timeline.

It may involve understanding what you've been through, building emotional awareness, recognizing unhealthy patterns, and figuring out what safety, trust, and boundaries mean to you now.

As a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Training Clinician, I'm familiar with how confusing these relationships can be — and I'll take your experience seriously without rushing to labels about anyone else.

EMDR & trauma-informed work

Working with the experiences that stay with us.

When it's clinically appropriate, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) alongside other trauma-informed approaches.

EMDR is a structured therapy that uses guided bilateral stimulation — such as eye movements or tapping — while you briefly focus on a distressing memory. For many people, this helps a memory feel less intense and less tied to the present.

It isn't the right fit for everyone, and it isn't a quick fix. We'll prepare carefully, move at a pace that feels manageable, and decide together whether it belongs in your work.

Your experiences deserve to be understood.
